Paige Ostroushko wiped her account on Instagram after a verbal and physical dispute with Savanah Hernandez. The college soccer player at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point could face federal charges.

Her father and mother also appeared to be involved in the incident.

It is currently unclear as to whether Ostroushko will be allowed to continue her college soccer career with the Pointers. The university has yet to release a formal statement as the investigation remains ongoing.

Who is Savanah Hernandez?

Known by many as @Savsays on X/Twitter, Hernandez is a “reporter,” “commentator” and “contributor” with Turning Point USA. Turning Point USA is a non-governmental and nonprofit organization founded by Charlie Kirk. The organization’s mission is to “identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles of fiscal responsibility, free markets, and limited government.”

Hernandez attended an anti-ICE demonstration outside of the Whipple Federal Building in Minneapolis on Saturday. She claims she was on site only to film B-Roll footage for TPUSA, not to conduct interviews.

And then it got out of hand.

“I just finished scrubbing through the footage from my POV. Again, my intention today was to not even conduct interviews because I know how INSANE the left can be. For simply standing and filming BROLL for TPUSA I was assaulted, chased off of a public street and beaten.”

Videos of the incident appear to show Chris Ostroushko and his wife and daughter, Deyanna and Paige. Paige, wearing the black and white jacket, blew a whistle in Hernandez’s ear. She then appears to punch or shove her into a chain link fence. Her mother also confronts the reporter. As does her father, who can be seen shoving Hernandez from behind and causes her to fall to the ground.

Chris, the Ostroushko patriarch, previously made headlines back in January at a similar anti-ICE protest. He, his family, and a man identified as William Scott Kelly are now involved in a federal investigation by the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the US Department of Justice.

The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office also confirmed the forthcoming charges:

  • 1 – adult female arrested for disorderly conduct – fighting (to be charged by complaint)
  • 1 – adult male arrested for GM obstruction with force – BOOKED at HCJ
  • 1 – adult male arrested for GM obstruction with force – to be charged by complaint
  • 1 – adult male identified as a suspect for disorderly conduct to be charged by complaint.”

Ostroushko’s boyfriend, Lorenzo Amadeo Garcia, was arrested on the scene. He was booked into custody on probable cause obstructing the legal process.

Paige Ostroushko plays college soccer.

Hernandez captured the following first-hand video of Paige Ostroushko’s behavior and alleged assault:

You can see in the video that Ostroushko is wearing a jacket from her high school, Shattuck St. Mary’s. She is currently finishing her sophomore year at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

The 5-foot-7 forward/midfielder played in seven games for the Pointers’ women’s soccer team during the 2025 season. Ostroushko made six starts and scored three goals.

UW Stevens-Point has yet to release a statement at the time of this writing. However, the student-athlete handbook binds Ostroushko to a pledge not to commit harmful behaviors like physical violence. It is “NEVER okay” and will “NOT be tolerated.” To commit or participate in harmful behavior could result in a dismissal from the team and/or expulsion. The pledge does not bode well for her status with the team.

Paige Ostroushko has wiped all of the posts from her Instagram account in wake of the incident. Especially after her initial arrest.

She also claimed on a livestream (from her dad’s account) that she is the victim.

Due process will play out in the coming days, weeks and months. Justice will be served in one way or another but it currently seems improbable that Ostroushko is allowed to stay on the team at UW-Stevens Point when this is all said and done.
