Popular golf influencer Paige Spiranac sure has come a long way since she started posting trick shot videos on social media around a decade ago. She’s since built up her brand to the point where she recently got a gig commentating on The Creator Classic prior to a PGA Tour event.
Between multiple sponsorships, her own pay-to-view website, monetizing her large social media following and providing regular instructional videos on YouTube and other platforms, Paige Spiranac is a juggernaut. And she’s done all of this before turning 32-years-old on March 26. Very impressive.
Speaking of Spiranac’s many golf instructional and tips videos, she returned to YouTube this past weekend with a new instructional video titled “My COMPLETE Guide to Chipping.”
“This is my start to finish chipping tutorial series, where I go through EVERYTHING you need to know about chipping!” Spiranac explains in the video’s description. “All the details on setup, grip, and swing, plus practice drills and more. I also cover how to hit all the essential chipping shots: low spinner, flop shot, bump and run, out of the rough, and from the bunker!”
“Chipping is my favorite part of the game because, well, back in my playing days it saved me so many shots per round,” Paige begins the video. “Under pressure I would get a little bit nervous and ball striking just wasn’t my best, but I could scramble and get up and down from anywhere. I always felt like chipping was the best part of my game because it has just so much creativity and you can hit so many different types of shots. And there’s not one right or wrong way to chip or the right technique. You can just kind of do whatever you want. But there are some basics and that’s what we’re going to talk about.”
The video is neatly broken up into several chapters on chipping: Intro & Setup, Ball Position, Alignment, Pre-Shot Routine, Chipping Swing, Towel Drill, Touch & Feel Drill, Low Spinner, Flop Shot, Bump & Run, Chipping Out of the Rough, and Chipping Out of the Bunker.
It’s a 32-minute-long video, so Paige Spiranac really isn’t kidding when she calls it a “COMPLETE guide to Chipping.” So, if there is something specific that you need some help with when it comes to chipping, just skip ahead to one of those chapters.
