All Texas native Parker Livingstone wanted to do growing up was play college football for the Texas Longhorns.

Livingstone, a three-star recruit in the class of 2024, got that chance this past season, and the former roommate of superstar quarterback Arch Manning didn’t disappoint. Livingstone caught 29 passes for 513 yards and six touchdowns as a redshirt freshman, proving himself as one of the SEC’s top deep threats.

But when the time came around for Livingstone to negotiate an NIL deal with Texas, he didn’t feel as if the Longhorns valued him the way that they should.

“Never in a million years did I think I would be going into the portal looking for a new home,” Livingstone said in a statement announcing his intent to enter the transfer portal. “Some things are out of my control. Such is the reality of the ever-changing landscape of college football.”

Apparently, the bad blood between Livingstone and the Texas program ran deep. Because when it came time for him to choose a new program to call home, he landed with the Longhorns’ biggest rival.

Parker Livingstone Crosses The Line From Texas To Oklahoma In The Transfer Portal

On Tuesday afternoon, Livingstone announced that he had committed to the Oklahoma Sooners, Texas’s famed arch nemesis on the football field.

Earlier this season, Livingstone made two catches for 29 yards in the Longhorns’ 23-6 victory over their rival. Now, he’s set to join them.

Understandably, Texas fans weren’t overly happy with Livingstone’s decision to cross from one side of the rivalry to the other.

He didn’t just spurn the Texas staff, but he spurned his teammates at Texas as well,” one fan wrote. “Sark and the staff knew what kind of person he is, and Texas is better off without someone with this type of character on the team.”

Committed until which time the whole team does not revolve around him, and then he’ll transfer,” wrote another.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma fans were more than happy to have him on board. Needless to say, the Red River Rivalary somehow just got even more interesting in 2026.
