Pat McAfee Feeding Nick Saban A Tomahawk Steak On Live Television Is The Weirdest Thing You’ll See Today

After retiring from a legendary coaching career, Nick Saban has transitioned nicely into his new role on ESPN’s College GameDay.

Saban has proven to be the perfect “straight man” to work as a foil for the always unpredictable Pat McAfee. On Saturday, the pair came together to provide one of the best, and weirdest, moments that you will likely ever see on the show.

At one point during the show, a local steakhouse provided the entire cast with an absolutely incredible spread, including a massive tomahawk steak for each to sample. McAfee, being the guy that he is, picked up the gigantic steak by the bone and offered some to Saban.

Rather than turn it down, as some would expect, Saban leaned in and took a big ol’ bite right out of McAfee’s fan. It absolutely stunned the former NFL punter, who began to crack up, and even Saban let out a smirk.

Fans Are All About The Budding Pat McAfee-Nick Saban Friendship After

It was an incredibly light-hearted moment for a guy that many tend to know for his stoicism. But since retiring, Saban has shown off much more of the personality that his former players rave about.

“I want a show where @PatMcAfeeShow and Nick Saban do normal everyday things that Nick Saban didn’t get to do that much while he was coaching. It would be like a new Seinfeld. A show about nothing but still hilarious,” one fan tweeted about the budding friendship.

“Never in a million years would I thought I’d see a video of @PatMcAfeeShow feeding Nick Saban. This can’t be real life,” wrote another.

Something about it just seems wrong. But it just works. You can see Saban loosening up with each week he’s on the show, and it’s made for a remarakbly enjoyable television product, even if it is a bit strange at times.
