An Intoxicated Pat McAfee In Ireland For College GameDay Has The Internet Laughing

Pat McAfee is one of the most polarizing and entertaining figures in all of sports media. Love him or hate him, he created some incredibly viral moments on social media as a panelist on College GameDay last season.

The college football season hasn’t even officially started yet, with tomorrow’s Week 0 games kicking off the season. But, the College GameDay crew is in Dublin, Ireland ahead of tomorrow’s Florida State-Georgia Tech game, and Pat McAfee is enjoying himself.

Here’s a clip from today’s Pat McAfee Show live from a Dublin pub. As you can see, they were indulging in all the things the pub had to offer.

People took note at how intoxicated the former NFL punter was on air.

ESPN apparently went to SportsCenter a little earlier than scheduled, presumably because of Mcafee’s inebriation.

But, that’s what you sign up for when you cast your lot with Pat McAfee. He is truly a man of the people, even if his style of media work isn’t refined in any way.

For all the off-the-cuff comments that don’t reflect super well on the company, there are moments like today’s show and this moment from College GameDay prior to the SEC Championship Game last year.

There’s no doubt that some love him and some hate him. But, he will try to do anything to entertain.
