I think we can all agree that the Las Vegas Raiders are not a well-run organization. Subpar ownership, poor head coach hires, and the inability to acquire a true superstar quarterback has doomed the franchise for well over twenty years now.

Just how bad have things been for the Raiders? A crazy stat about their home venue, Allegiant Stadium, will blow your mind.

The Raiders finished off another dismal season on Sunday, losing 34-20 to the Los Angeles Chargers to finish the season 4-13. It appears like the franchise is going to bring back less-than-impressive first-year head coach Antonio Pierce. And, back-to-back wins in Weeks 17 and 18 meant the franchise went from potentially having the first-overall pick to having the sixth-overall pick.

When the franchise moved from Oakland to Las Vegas and into their sparkling new stadium, Allegiant Stadium, in September of 2020, they were hoping it would provide a boost. Instead, it’s become a house of horrors for the team. They are under .500 at the venue at 19-22, which is a historically bad mark for a team in its home stadium.

Just how bad have things been? Consider this. They just finished their fifth season at the stadium. The quarterback/head coach combo with the most wins at Allegiant Stadium aren’t Raiders. Instead, it’s actually divisional rivals Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Yes, you read that correctly. No quarterback/head coach combo has won more games at Allegiant Stadium than a combo that has never played for the Raiders. the pair has won six times at Allegiant Stadium, five in the regular season and one in the Super Bowl last season. No other pair has won more than five.

This just goes to show how far the Raiders franchise has fallen since its heyday throughout the 70s and 80s.
