The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to complete the three-peat with a win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59. QB Patrick Mahomes showed up to New Orleans donning a green suit on Sunday afternoon.

The passer was spotted stepping off the bus a few hours before kickoff repping Eagles colors. The motive behind the fashion choice is unclear, but it most believed it was intentional.

Was he trolling? Paying respect to an opponent? No one’s quite sure. The decision sparked an immediate response on social media.

Fox sports media personality Nick Wright called Mahomes a “psychopath” after seeing the getup. And he loved every second!

A large majority of viewers saw this as a flex. The ultimate power move. They expected nothing less from the man considered to be the top quarterback in the NFL.

Patrick Mahomes led his team to a 15-1 mark in the regular season while securing the No. 1 overall seed in the AFC. They’ve since won a pair of close games in the postseason to advance to their fifth Super Bowl in six seasons.

Sunday’s contest will be a rematch of Super Bowl 57, which saw the Chiefs defeat the Eagles by three points. Philadelphia led that game at halftime before watching Kansas City storm back after the break.

Jalen Hurts and Co are looking for revenge this time around. Mahomes is on a mission to continue the dynasty. The Kansas City signal caller already made a statement with his pregame outfit. We’ll see if he can back it up on the field.
