Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is eyeing a unique endgame for his NFL career.
While already in on ownership of several sports teams, Mahomes has his sights set on a different kind of ownership – an NFL team of his very own.
In a recent press conference, Mahomes revealed his ambition, saying, “Until I own an NFL team, I’m not planning to stop.” However, he acknowledges that the path to NFL ownership is no cakewalk, remarking, “But they make it pretty tough to get to that spot.”
Mahomes is looking to make this dream a reality, but he’s in no hurry. He says it could happen “eventually,” presumably after his playing days come to a close.

Drawing inspiration from the GOAT himself, Tom Brady, who’s also dipping his toes into NFL team ownership with the Raiders, Mahomes sees this as the ultimate way to give back to the sport he loves. As he put it, “I love this sport and want to give back in any way possible when I’m done playing.”
It’s interesting the best quarterbacks in league history might all become owners like Brady, is he starting a new trend? that’s why he’s the GOAT.
