Patrick Mahomes continues to apologize for his meltdown vs the Bills earlier this week.

On Sunday, Mahomes absolutely lost his mind on the sideline after Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney was called for an offensive offsides penalty late in the Bills-Chiefs game.

On Tuesday, Mahomes apologized for his postgame actions by saying that his meltdown wasn’t a good example for kids.

While speaking to the media on Wednesday, Mahomes once again said that he is trying to be a good role model and a good person while regretting cursing out the refs on a public stage.

“That’s not necessarily pressure from franchise, that’s pressure of being a good person,” Mahomes said. “I try to act in a way that I’m a good role model. Because I’ve looked up to guys that are on this stage ever since I was a little kid running through the locker room.

“So I’m just trying to be a good person. Obviously I care, so my emotions were shown on the football field, which they’ve been shown in a good way but obviously that wasn’t a good way.

“At the end of the day I’m trying to be the best person that I can be. The face of the franchise and NFL stuff, that’s going to come and go but if I can show the person I am every single day and that sets an example, that’s what I want to do when my career is over.”

It’s still unclear what kind of punishment Mahomes will face from the league over his actions on Sunday, but it’s safe to say that he will get fined heavily for berating the refs in the way that he did.
