Paul George Will Play For The First Time Since Gruesome Leg Injury

Paul George will play his first NBA game since last summer when the Pacers play the Heat on Sunday, he confirmed on Instagram. Pacers GM Larry Bird said he will be on a minutes restriction as the team evaluates his progress.

It’s been eight months since George suffered a compound fracture in his leg during a Team USA scrimmage. George has been cleared to play for weeks and has been practicing with the team.

The Pacers were in desperate need of George as they are in a heated playoff race for the Eastern Conference’s final spot. The Pacers are one and a half games behind the Miami Heat with six games left in the season
