Peyton Manning wants everyone to know it’s “ball holder” and not “balls holder” when discussing a specific football concept.
On Monday Night Football’s ManningCast, Peyton explained that Kirk Cousins makes sure to call a “ball holder” play where he holds the ball and passes it when Nick Bosa subs out of the game.
“Bosa’s out, Kirk Cousins says they have plays they will call that require him to hold the ball longer when Bosa’s out…Bosa’s out, they have what’s called a “ball holder”, I’m gonna hold the ball longer, it’s a football term folks.”

When Eli asked about the “ball holder” term later in the broadcaster, Peyton made sure he didn’t say “balls.”
Eli: “Bosa’s out, do you think another, what do you call it, a ball holder?”
Peyton: “Ball holder, just one ball, singular, not plural.”
