Demaryius Thomas’ mother was in attendance for the Broncos-Steelers Divisional Round game on Sunday, which happened to be the first time she had seen her son play football in person. Katina Smith, Thomas’ mother, had been in prison for the past 15 years for cocaine trafficking and was released in November but wasn’t able to travel to watch her son play until today.
At the end of the game, Peyton Manning had a touching moment with Thomas when he gave him the game ball and told him to “give that to your mother.”
