Few people in the world of football know more about quarterbacking and quarterbacks than Peyton Manning. The two-time Super Bowl champion and five-time MVP is considered by some to be the best pure passer of all-time.

When he talks about quarterbacks, people listen, as they should. Recently, Peyton Manning named his top five quarterbacks in the league currently at Fanatics Fest over the weekend.

Manning himself was probably a top-five quarterback in the league for a span of fifteen years, not including the season he missed due to a neck injury with the Colts in 2011. While Tom Brady is rightfully considered the GOAT now, for much of their shared time in the league, it was Peyton Manning that the majority of people thought was the better pure quarterback despite Brady’s incredible postseason success. That changed as Brady’s career went on, but for a moment in time, Manning had a real GOAT claim.

There are some incredible quarterbacks in the NFL right now, and Peyton Manning has his opinion on who the top five quarterbacks in the NFL are right now.

Peyton Manning noted that the fact that Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid coaches Patrick Mahomes hard is really good news for the Chiefs and really bad news for the rest of the NFL.

Altogether, this was a very generic top-five by Peyton Manning. You’d like to think that he would gone out on a limb for some of these picks. Throwing in a guy like CJ Stroud or Dak Prescott could’ve had the takes flowing.

Peyton Manning will have the chance to cover some of these guys as ManningCast comes back on ESPN for its fourth year this fall.
