There’s something about the Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry that makes old-time NBA players/coaches make incredibly dumb statements about how in their day the Warriors wouldn’t be all that great.
Cue Phil Jackson, the hall of fame coach of the Michael Jordan led Chicago Bulls who is the latest to try and downplay the Curry hype machine.
After Curry’s sensational 46-point performance against the OKC Thunder, Jackson thought it was a good idea to compare Steph Curry to Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf.
Never seen anything like SCurry? Remind you of Chris Jackson/ Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, who had a short but brilliant run in NBA?

Of course, just a quick look at Abdul’s best year against Curry’s current season shows how dumb of a comparison this is.
This isn’t Phil Jackson’s first dumb tweet about the Warriors, last year he tweeted this a few weeks before the Warriors won the NBA championship.
NBA analysts give me some diagnostics on how 3pt oriented teams are faring this playoffs…seriously, how's it goink?

Just get off Twitter, Phil.
