The Masters always goes above and beyond each and every year on social media when it comes to behind the scenes. While this year’s Masters has been pushed to November, the tournament still managed to show us something from last year’s tournament we had never seen before.

CBS broadcasted last year’s final round on Sunday afternoon and the Masters’ social channels shared photos and videos throughout the day.

While Tiger Woods was busy winning his fifth green jacket completing one of the greatest comeback stories the sports world has ever seen, Phil Mickelson was busy writing. At some point during the mayhem, Mickelson grabbed an Augusta National napkin and a black marker and wrote a simple note congratulating Woods.

“Tiger, so impressive! What a great tournament you played! So very happy for you! Phil”

The napkin hung from Woods’ locker inside the Champions Locker Room on the second floor of the clubhouse.

As you can see, the picture of the napkin wasn’t the only unique photo the Masters shared on Instagram. It’s really interesting to see what goes on right after a Masters champion gets done signing his scorecard. It’s just Woods, Augusta’s tailor and the photographer capturing the moment.

Those moments are something we never see during the broadcast, so it’s really interesting to see Woods essentially decompressing after all of the emotion simply getting fit for the most iconic attire in all of sports.
