President Trump may have settled the soccer vs football debate.
On Friday, Trump made an appearance during the FIFA World Cup draw in Washington, D.C, where he was awarded the inaugural FIFA Peace Prize by FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
“You definitely deserve the first FIFA peace prize for your action, for what you have obtained – in your way – but you obtained it in an incredible way,” Infantino said. “And you can always count, Mr. President, on my support, on the support of the entire football community, or soccer community, to help you make peace and make the world prosper.”

While speaking at the FIFA World Cup draw, Trump made remarks about soccer actually being the real “football” and that the NFL should find another word to describe their sport.
“When you look at football in the US, soccer in the US — we seem to never call it that, because we have a little bit of a conflict with another thing that’s called football. But when you think about it, shouldn’t it really be called football? We have to come up with another name for the NFL stuff.”

It seems that even people who disagree with Trump on politics agree with him on this issue.
