Report: Prince Fielder To Retire Early After Undergoing Second Neck Surgery In 24 Months

Texas Rangers slugger Prince Fielder’s career appears to be over.

According to Ken Rosenthal, Fielder, who has been dealing with various neck injuries since being traded from Detroit to the Texas Rangers in 2014, is expected to announce his retirement on Thursday after undergoing a second neck surgery in 24 months.

Sucks that Fielder is retiring but at lease we’ll always have this GIF of him trying to slide into third base.
