In an interesting turn of events, prosecutors in Tiger Woods’ Florida DUI case are seeking all records pertaining to the drugs the golfer takes.
In court documents obtained by the New York Post, prosecutors in Martin County, Florida, stated that they would subpoena Lewis Pharmacy to obtain information about all medications that Tiger Woods’ doctors prescribed. They also want to know if there were any warnings on the bottles against “operating a motor vehicle” while taking any of the medications.
According to the documents, the State Attorney’s office wants to know the “date and time prescription was filled, type of prescription, number of pills in each prescription, the dosage amount, and all special instructions.”
What does the subpeona say about Tiger Woods’ medications?
“COMES NOW the State of Florida, by and through its undersigned State Attorney and gives notice that a Subpoena Duces Tecum will be issued on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 (10 day notice) for prescription drug dispensary records for Eldrick T. Woods. Any objections to this subpoena must be delivered to the undersigned Assistant State Attorney within 10 days,” the documents state, according to the Mirror.
“Specifically the State of Florida’s subpoena will seek copies of any and all prescription medication on file for Eldrick T. Woods; DOB: 12/30/1975; SSN: [REDACTED] to include date and time prescription was filled, type of prescription, number of pills in each prescription, the dosage amount, all special instructions on how to take the medication, date of next refill, all warnings including but not limited to operating a motor vehicle while taking the prescription from January 1, 2026 – March 27, 2026 at Lewis Pharmacy.”
The crash victim has hired a personal injury attorney
Authorities formally charged the 50-year-old PGA legend with DUI after a crash late last month. He refused to submit to a physical or chemical test of his urine or breath at the time of his arrest. Woods allegedly had hydrocodone in his pocket during the crash.
The man whose car Tiger Woods hit in the crash during his DUI arrest has hired a personal injury attorney. The golfer is currently out of the country, reportedly at a treatment facility to “seek treatment.”
Several people close to the golf star, including his former wife, one of his ex-girlfriends, and several current and former professional golfers, have spoken out about the situation.
Nick Faldo said he thinks the golf world is being too easy on Tiger Woods. On the other hand, PGA Tour icon Jack Nicklaus expressed concern for Woods and thinks he “needs some help.” Current PGA star Jason Day also said he was worried about Woods, but added that it was “selfish of him to drive and put other people in harm’s way.”
