It didn’t take long for controversy to arise during the NCAA tournament.
Late in the fourth quarter of a tight Providence-SD State game on Thursday afternoon, the Jackrabbits were called for a crucial three-shot foul after Friars guard Jared Bynum appeared to kick his leg out to initiate contact.

SD State went on to lose the game minutes later, and college basketball fans were not happy with the call that swung the game for Providence.
South Dakota State shot at the upset was killed by the officials on the three point “foul”. Providence holds on to defeat the Jackrabbits 66-57. They play the winner of Iowa/Richmond.
