Popular Florida-based supermarket Publix is already reaping the benefits of Messi’s move to Miami.
Earlier this week, Messi and his family finally arrived in Miami months after announcing that he would play at Inter Miami.

On Thursday night, Messi went viral after he was photographed shopping at a Publix in Miami.

Publix immediately became a top trend on Twitter and other social media apps.
According to marketing firm Apex Marketing, Publix and High Noon received over $3 million worth of free publicity thanks to Messi shopping at their store.

As Messi fever takes over Miami, the soccer superstar will be reportedly introduced by the team next week and is set to play in his first game for Inter Miami on July 21st.

Some tickets for the July 21 Leagues Cup match against Cruz Azul are on the secondary markets for more than $10,000 apiece, clearly in anticipation of it being Messi’s debut with the club.
