After beginning his career as a generally inconspicuous yet dominant player, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua has turned himself into quite the divisive player in recent months with a string of controversial incidents. There have been so many incidents, in fact, that’s he’s been compared to Antonio Brown.

Since roughly November 2025, Puka Nacua has had a handful of viral moments that have come off of the football field. The most serious came in December, when he appeared on a livestream with influencer Adin Ross and made a gesture that many online labeled antisemitic.

While Nacua later apologized, saying he didn’t understand the meaning behind it, the clip want massively viral nonetheless. Not long after, he was fined roughly $25,000 by the NFL for publicly criticizing referees on social media following a loss — a post he deleted.

Then, since the turn of the year, he went viral for a publicly shooting his shot at Sydney Sweeney and tweeting about Sam Darnold during the Super Bowl. More recently, clips of Nacua clearly intoxicated during Super Bowl weekend circulated on social media. Along the way, he’s just been generally outspoken on recent podcast appearances, such as The Pat McAfee Show, too.

NFL fans are beginning to become concerned by Puka Nacua’s behavior and think he may be turning into the next Antonio Brown

“Puka nervously gives me Antonio Brown vibes,” one NFL fan tweeted.

“Puka is my favorite to become the next Antonio Brown,” a second concurred.
