Los Angeles Rams superstar Puka Nacua had a no-good, very bad day on Wednesday, and he has nobody but himself and his own older brother to blame.
First, Nacua found himself under fire for performing an antisemitic dance while on a video with famed streamer Adin Ross.
Then, later in the day, news broke that Nacua’s older brother Samson, had been arrested over the weekend as one of two men alleged to have stolen a vehicle from Los Angeles Lakers rookie Adou Thiero.
Samson Nacua Arrested While Driving Stolen Vehicle From Lakers Rookie
Samson Nacua, 27, went undrafted after his college career at Utah and BYU. He then sign with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent but did not make the team.
After two seasons in the USFL and UFL, Nacua had a brief stint with the New Orleans Saints before returning to the UFL with the Michigan Panthers. While with the Panthers, he was suspended for a game after a video showed him striking a fan.
Fast forward to this past weekend, when NBC Los Angeles reports he was one of two men arrested in connection with the theft of Thiero’s SUV.
“Deputies were called to the One Hotel in West Hollywood after the vehicle was tracked to the hotel, LASD exclusively told NBC4 Investigates. There, the suspects had valeted the car and entered the hotel.
While reviewing security footage, deputies were able to identify the suspects and found them soon after. They then arrested them on suspicion of taking the SUV.
It’s unclear where or when the SUV was stolen, according to law enforcement.” – Report from NBC LA
Theiro was drafted in the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft by the Brooklyn Nets, then traded to the Lakers. He’s spent his rookie year bouncing between the NBA and the South Bay Lakers of the G League. Thiero has played just nine games in LA thus far.
As for Samson Nacua, he and the other man arrested are still in jail and face a charge of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent.
Puka, meanwhile, will have to refocus ahead of the Rams’ huge Thursday Night Football game against the Seattle Seahawks, which could determine both the NFC West and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
