Quincy Wilson continues to set the track and field world on fire every time he steps into the blocks. The 16-year-old phenom broke his own record for the third time this year ahead of the Olympics o.

He is in peak form before Paris!

Wilson, a rising junior at Bullis School in Maryland, is a 400-meter specialist. Team USA invited him to compete for his country on the highest stage as a member of the 4×400 relay pool after a remarkable showing at the Trials in Eugene last month. It makes him the youngest male to ever join the U.S. Track and Field team for the Olympics.

With the Games set to get underway on the 27th, Wilson spent this weekend in Gainesville, Florida at the Holloway Pro Classic. His assault on the U18 World Record continued in dominant fashion.

Wilson broke the former high school record of 44.69 with a 44.66 during the qualifying round at the Olympic Trials. He broke his own record just two days later with a 44.59.

And then he did it again on Friday!

The sixth-fastest 400-meter runner in the world this year shattered his own record for the third time in 60 days with a blazing fast 44.20. Wilson’s time would have won him the World title in 2022 and 2023.

There is just one question that remains with Quincy Wilson before competition gets underway in Paris. Where does he fit on the roster?

Team USA could feature him in the mixed 4×400 or the men’s 4×400. It could use him in the early rounds and tap him out for the semis and final. It could also choose to keep him in the lineup as fresh legs— especially considering that his time on Friday makes him the second-fastest 400-meter runner behind world leader and American champion Quincy Hall.

Regardless of how things shake out for the Olympics, Wilson is on a tear with no signs of slowing down at only 16 years young!
