Quinn Ewers left Ohio State but the Ohio State never left Quinn Ewers. The 21-year-old quarterback still refuses to give Michigan an ounce of respect and will not call the Wolverines by their proper name.

His nickname of choice will certainly ruffle some feathers up in Ann Arbor!

Ewers, the former five-star prospect in the college football recruiting Class of 2022, reclassified into the Class of 2021 and maintained his status as the No. 1 overall recruit despite the jump. He ultimately committed to Ohio State over 28 other scholarship offers from the best programs in the country.

The Buckeyes lost to the Wolverines during Ewers’ lone season in Columbus. Although the redshirt freshman didn’t get on the field that year, the bad taste in his mouth stuck with him! His first and only opportunity for revenge will be played at The Big House this fall.

Ewers transferred to Texas in 2022 and immediately took over as the starter. The last year of his career before entering the NFL Draft offers a full-circle moment.

The Longhorns travel north to Ann Arbor on the 7th of September when Michigan will host Texas.

Although the Wolverines will not be as good this year as last, it offers a great opportunity for Ewers to make a statement early in the season as one of the top names to watch for the Heisman Trophy. The Longhorns also expect to be in the College Football Playoff and have legitimate national title hopes. A win in Week 2 is crucial.

Quinn Ewers gets his first shot at Michigan after previously playing for its biggest rival. Although he is three years removed, he still will only refer to the maize and blue as “That School Up North.”

Of course, TSUN is how the Buckeyes refer to their biggest rival. The hatred stuck with Ewers for all of these years and he’s not going to let it die!
