One radio host is under fire for her opinion on why Lamar Jackson isn’t the MVP this season.
While debating who should be the MVP, Fox Sports radio host Monse Bolanos said while Jackson is a great athlete, he’s not “quarterbacky” enough to be the NFL MVP. Bolanos went on to name 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey as her MVP.
“I want my quarterbacks to be quarterbacky. To me, Lamar Jackson’s just a great athlete, and he had a great game against the 49ers. Prisoners of the moment, he is NOT the MVP. Christian McCaffrey IS the MVP.”

Bolanos was quickly called out for using stereotypes to describe Jackson.
“Quarterbacky” seems code for something. https://t.co/LVafjhtLkt

Dog whistles & coded language all throughout and she quoted Colin Cowherd of all available people…
Then she picked Christian McCaffrey as her MVP. If it loves milkshakes, swims, waddles & quacks? That duck is prolly racist. https://t.co/Da13baLKjn

Bolanos fired back at criticism by putting up Jackson’s stats against top QBs in the league.
“I say “quarterbacky” & I’m a racist.
Most passing yards by a QB so far:”
According to Covers.com , Jackson is currently the odds on favorite to win the MVP, with McCaffrey a distant second, if the season ended today.
Update: Fox Sports Radio deleted the “quarterbacky” video and Bolanos deleted her tweet defending her comments.
