The Raiders are actively seeking a trade for wide receiver Hunter Renfrow, according to reports from The Athletic’s Dianna Russini.
The team is making efforts to trade the receiver, who has seen limited action this season.
Renfrow’s performance this year has been really down, with only 6 catches for 59 yards and a career-low playing time of 42% of the snaps.
This decline is stark compared to his impressive Pro-Bowl season in 2021, where he made 103 catches for 1,038 yards and 9 touchdowns. Even in the shortened season of 2022, Renfrow managed 36 catches for 330 yards and 2 touchdowns.
When at the top of his game, he’s one of the best slot receivers in the NFL but this season he’s taken a backseat to star WR1 Davante Adams and newcomer WR2 Jakobi Meyers.
Renfrow is actually one of the best pure route runners in the NFL.
Is this the week we see Hunter Renfrow be implemented or we just gonna let the #Raiders waste this talent all season? 🫠 pic.twitter.com/s0TqhC3uot

The Raiders decision to look into a trade for Renfrow means they know his role won’t expand as the season goes on.
