Things starting to look promising for the Las Vegas Raiders, it appears that unsigned franchise tagged player Josh Jacobs is gearing up to rejoin the team ahead of their season opener.

According to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Jacobs is expected to report back to the Raiders in the coming weeks, putting an end to the speculation surrounding his absence.

While this was widely anticipated, it marks the first tangible sign of Jacobs’ intentions regarding his holdout, as Bonsignore’s report is grounded in information from “multiple league sources,” solidifying the anticipation that Jacobs will soon be back in action.

Despite his absence, Jacobs hasn’t faced financial losses during this period of negotiations because he’s not actually under contract. The situation would’ve changed though if he were to continue his holdout into the official regular season.

As last year’s leader in yards from scrimmage, Jacobs remains a top-tier player in the league. His return for Week 1 of the 2023 season against the Broncos would undoubtedly reaffirm his standing as an indispensable asset for the Raiders.
