Former New England Patriots wide receiver Jakobi Meyers has taken to social media to express his frustration over the Patriots reportedly offering a similar contract to wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster that Meyers did not receive from the team.
Wow: Former #Patriots WR Jakobi Meyers doesn't like that the Pats gave JuJu the same deal he didn't get.
He got it from the Raiders though. pic.twitter.com/u59vFXeZvo

According to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport, both Smith-Schuster and Meyers were offered three-year deals worth $33 million. However, Meyers apparently did not receive such an offer from the Patriots and instead signed with the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency.
Meyers took to Twitter to express his frustration, simply stating “Cold world lol.”
Meyers spent four seasons with the Patriots, catching 235 passes for 2,758 yards and 8 touchdowns. He is now cashing in as a free agent with the Raiders.
Some fans and analysts are questioning the Patriots’ decision to let Meyers go and sign Smith-Schuster, especially given Meyers’ consistent production on the field. It remains to be seen how Smith-Schuster will perform in the Patriots’ offense, but Meyers’ comments indicate that he may feel overlooked and undervalued by his former team.
As the NFL offseason continues to unfold, it will be interesting to see how the Patriots fare without Meyers and whether Smith-Schuster can live up to the expectations set by his lucrative new contract.
