Earlier this week, a Cincinnati Reds fan went viral for doing a backflip after running onto the field only for the fun to come to an end courtesy of a police officer who tased him immediately after, and his legend has only continued to grow thanks to what transpired when he showed up in court after being charged for the stunt.

It’s not particularly rare for sporting events to be interrupted by someone who decided it would be a good idea to make their way onto the field, and over the years, we’ve been treated to plenty of highlights courtesy of security personnel (and even some players) who’ve contained the situation by delivering a bone-crushing hit or tackle.

However, we were treated to a slightly less conventional takedown thanks to what unfolded during a Cincinnati Reds game on Tuesday, as a fan in a Johnny Bench jersey jumped onto the field prior to the start of the bottom of the ninth inning and managed to pull off a backflip directly in front of a cop who brought the fun to an end by firing a stun gun into his back.

According to WLWT, the fan in question is 19-year-old William Hendon, who was rocking the same outfit when he appeared in court on Wednesday to plead not guilty to the two misdemeanor charges (criminal trespass and obstructing official business) that were filed against him as a result of his antics.

The hearing was overseen by  Judge William Mallory, who asked Hendon if he’d seen any of the videos that were captured. After the defendant said he hadn’t, Mallory informed him “Everybody thinks you landed that backflip,” to which Hendon responded, “Pretty sure I did” after a brief pause.

Hendon has been temporarily banned from Great American Ball Park but will otherwise be permitted to roam free until he returns to court for his next hearing on July 3rd.
