Reggie Bullock never came close to achieving superstar status during the 11 seasons he spent in the NBA. However, he managed to do pretty well for himself during his time in the league, and he used some of those earnings to buy a private island and construct an unreal getaway in Belize.

As of the start of the 2025-26 NBA season, players were earning an average salary of approximately $12.6 million. That number is skewed by the contracts handed out to the league’s biggest superstars, as the median is “only” around $6.7 million.

Both of those numbers are higher than what Reggie Bullock averaged on an annual basis during a career that spanned 11 seasons, as the forward who was selected by the Clippers with the 25th overall pick in 2013 raked in a little over $53 million in contract money while playing for seven different teams.

Bullock hasn’t officially retired, but the 34-year-old hasn’t appeared in an NBA game since wrapping up his campaign with the Rockets in 2024. However, it’s kind of hard to blame him for taking it easy when you consider he’s able to chill on his own private island.

In 2022, Bullock dropped $2.2 million to secure a heart-shaped island off the coast of the Placencia Peninsula in Belize. He initially intended to use it as a personal getaway, but during a recent interview with YouTuber Will Mitchell, he said he decided to turn it into a vacation destination.

The focal point of what he has dubbed “Bullock Island” is a four-room mansion with a movie theater hidden behind a bookshelf and a pool you can use if you don’t want to wade into the Caribbean Sea.

That home is supplemented by six vacation villas that can house guests who can also take advantage of an outdoor tiki bar and restaurant as well as a basketball court, spa, and beach club. There are also plenty of extracurricular activities to choose from, including sailing, fishing, and snorkeling.

Must be nice.
