In the Panthers first possession of tonight’s Sunday Night Football game between the Panthers and the Seahawks, the reigning NFL MVP, Cam Newton, was mysteriously sitting on the bench as Derek Anderson was under center for the team.
According to the Panthers radio broadcast, Newton was benched by coach Ron Rivera for “disciplinary reasons”

As of now there hasn’t been an explanation on what Cam did to get benched but I’m sure that will all come out eventually.
