Report: Kyrie Irving Asked The Cavs To Trade Him Because He Doesn’t Want To Play Alongside LeBron James Anymore

There appears to be some drama brewing within the Cavs organization. According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, the Cavs superstar point guard asked the team to trade him during a meeting just last week.

The request came last week and was made to Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert. Irving has expressed that he wants to go play in a situation where he can be a more focal point and no longer wants to play alongside LeBron James, sources said.

LeBron is apparently aware of the situation and said to be “disappointed”.

James was informed of Irving’s request and was blindsided and disappointed, sources said. Other members of the team have learned of Irving’s intentions in recent days as well.

Man, Kyrie must really hate LeBron to want to leave when the team is still a championship contender.
