Actor Rob McElhenney has made his love for the Philadelphia Eagles known for a long time. The “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’ co-creator and co-star is a born-and-raised Philadelphian.

During Sunday’s NFC Championship Game blowout win for the Eagles over the Commanders that sent Philadelphia to the Super Bowl, McElhenney was in awe of Saquon Barkley and made it known on Twitter.

Barkley, who is closing in on the most yards in a season combining the regular season and playoffs, had another stellar performance on Sunday. It started off with a bang of epic proportions.

How many runs in the history of the postseason have been better than that? Certainly not many!

When it was all said and done, Barkley had 118 yards on 15 carries and three scores, including this one to seal it.

In the playoffs, he’s up to 442 yards and 5 touchdowns after running for 2,005 yards in the regular season despite sitting out the regular season finale. That means he has 2,447 yards and 20 total touchdowns this year. The all-time single season combined record is Terrell Davis’s 2476 yards in 1998. Saquon apepars to be a good bet to beat that record in the Super Bowl.

Rob McElhenney is giving Saquon Barkley his flowers. Take look.

Right now, Saquon Barkley, who grew up roughly an hour’s drive from Philly, is the toast of the town.
