While legendary soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has been making a show of himself in Saudi Arabia for a few years now, his latest instance of shamelessness may represent rock bottom.
In Al-Nassr’s 2-2 draw against Al-Ettifaq on Tuesday, December 30, Ronaldo scored Al-Nassr’s second and final goal to give the team a short-lived 2-1 lead.
The “goal,” however, was barely his at all, as it merely deflected off his back following a shot from Joao Felix. Not only did Ronaldo claim the goal, but he celebrated it like a mad man, too, leading to the ridicule on social media.

“Never in my life have I seen someone celebrating a deflected goal like that. Ronaldo ain’t real man,” one soccer fan summarized.
“How do you celebrate a deflection like this??! Football is finished man, this bro just want to score 1000 goals and he doesn’t care about the result of the game,” a second added.

Ronaldo, 40 years old, is now in his fourth season in the Saudi Pro League, having transferred to Al-Nassr from Manchester United in December 2022.
He’s scored 87 club goals in 88 appearances for Al-Nassr, with 13 of those goals coming in 11 games this year, including the “shameless” one above.
