Ronda Rousey Not Holly Holm Will Fight Miesha Tate Next For The Title

Although Holly Holm fought a competitive fight against Miesha Tate last night at UFC 196, UFC President Dana White announced that Ronda Rousey, who lost to Holm in November, is next in line to fight Tate for the title.

Here’s what Dana White told BloodyElbow.com when asked about Holm getting an immediate rematch against Tate,

“No, I think that Ronda will now fight Miesha Tate for the title – that’s what’s gonna happen … that’s what I said before this fight even happened. Whoever wins tonight will fight Ronda for the title.”

If Tate hadn’t submitted Holm in the fifth round there was a good possibility that fight would have ended in a draw.

It’s kind of bullshit that Rousey gets an immediate title shot when she said that she didn’t want to return until October. While Ronda-Tate will likely make more money than than a Tate-Holm rematch, Holm deserves an immediate rematch more than Rousey deserves
