Ronda Rousey is facing backlash from UFC fighters OVER her comments directed at the UFC and Dana White.
Last week, during the Rousey-Carano kickoff press conference, Rousey ripped into the UFC over fighter pay.
“It used to be that UFC was the best place in combat sports to make a living and get paid fairly, and now it’s no longer,” Rousey said. “It’s one of the worst places to go. It’s why so many of their top athletes are leaving to go and find pay elsewhere.”
‘These people, a lot of them at the ground level, they can’t support their families. They’re living in poverty level fighting full-time, and this company just got $7.7 billion. Like, there’s no reason they can’t afford to pay their athletes at least a living wage, and not even that, at least to match what athletes are making in other sports.”
Rousey believes White has been neutered by the UFC and is no longer calling the shots.
“He isn’t calling the shots and he isn’t running things the way that he wants. “Because he’s an employee of the company now. He’s not an owner and I think it was a big mistake of theirs to not let him just run things the way that he always has.”
During a recent podcast appearance, UFC’s Sean O’Malley reacted to Rousey’s comments.
“It’s crazy to see all these top guys have an issue with the UFC. Who would Conor, Jones, and Ronda be without the UFC? If they feel like they’re being treated unfairly, speak up. You’ve got to be grateful for what you’ve gotten from the UFC.”

Jorge Masvidal also blasted Rousey over her comments about the UFC and Dana White.
“Her eyes, her nose, her teeth like what type of demonology is she on? This is spooky. Ronda’s never been the best on the mic. She just says things that are weird. Her taking shots at Dana – Dana made you.”
