On Tuesday, March 31st, Netflix will release a new episode of their Untold series, which will focus on former Lakers star Lamar Odom and his 2015 overdose at a Nevada brothel.

For the documentary, Netflix interviewed several people close to Odom, including former Lakers head coach Phil Jackson and Odom’s ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian.

In a recently released clip by Netflix, Khloe recalls learning about Odom’s infidelity for the first time while they were still married.

“I never knew for sure that he was sleeping with other people, of course, I had suspicions, but I never had anything tangible,” she says in the clip.

We spoke with Ryan Duffy, the director of Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom, about Khloe’s appearance in the doc, and he told us he was surprised by how open she was about talking about her past.

“It was one of the surprises, you know. You expect people with that level of, of fame and power, quite frankly to have conditions, to have things that they’re willing to talk about and not willing to talk about, and have a handler sitting over their shoulders who says, you know, you can say this but don’t say that, or I have to interrupt you there, or whatever, right?”

“We all know what that looks like. She didn’t have that. It took a minute to get on her schedule just because she’s remarkably busy, of course, but once we were in the room with her, she gave us, I think, almost two hours of her time. She, like everyone else in this doc, was kind of willing to talk about whatever we wanted to ask her about. So she was really a dream. I did not expect it to go that well, if I’m being totally honest. Not because of anything negative about Khloe, just because, you know, I expected other people around her to kind of run interference for her. And she— it’s a credit to her, but she didn’t have those people, and she just went for it.”
