Former NBA player and current Houston Rockets TV analyst Ryan Hollins pulled what’s known as “Carlos Boozer,” as he rocked an apparently spray painted-on hairline during a recent broadcast of a Rockets game. Hollins’ faux hairline immediately went viral on social media.

Even still, Ryan Hollins’ attempt to sneak a spray-painted hairline passed the masses pales in comparison to Carlos Boozer’s infamous effort as he not only spray painted his ENTIRE head but did so while he was still an active NBA player.

Having become synonymous with spray-painted hairlines, social media immediately clowned on Hollins for “pulling a Carlos Boozer.”

“Ryan Hollins just popped out with the craziest spray-on hairline since Boozer i can’t breathe,” one viral tweet said.

Apparently this is nothing new for Hollins, as social media users had photos of other instances of the former NBA center sporting a similar follicle style.

Hollins was drafted out of UCLA in the 2nd round of the 2006 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Bobcats (now Charlotte Hornets). Hollins was a journeyman player through out his decade-long NBA career, spending times with the Bobcats, Dallas Mavericks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Clippers, Sacramento Kings, Washington Wizards, and Memphis Grizzlies.

After a couple of seasons in Spain and Italy, Hollins retired from professional basketball with career NBA averages of 3.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 0.3 assists per game. Hollins has also spent recent years playing in Ice Cub’s BIG3 league.

As a few seasons in the NBA’s wilderness, the Houston Rockets are one of the better teams in the NBA as it approaches the halfway point of its season next month, as they currently sit second in the Western Conference behind only the Oklahoma City Thunder.
