Speculation about whether or not Taylor Swift would be appearing in Deadpool & Wolverine as the Marvel character Dazzler has been ongoing for years now, and Ryan Reynolds certainly hasn’t done anything to temper those rumors.

With just a few weeks left until the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, which is looking like it could be the highest-grossing film of the year, Ryan Reynolds is again teasing that Swift could be in the film, this time by sharing a photo of himself in the Deadpool suit that’s a direct homage to the cover of Swift’s 2020 album, Evermore.

The photo posted to Reynolds’ story was also accompanied by a clip of the Taylor Swift song “evermore,” which features Bon Iver.

The reason Swift has long been rumored to be playing Dazzler is because the character, first introduced by Marvel Comics in 1980, is a mutant who turns sound into light/energy and also has a career as a pop star when she’s not busy being a superhero.

Alongside Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with the Mouth and Hugh Jackman reprising his role as Wolverine, Deadpool & Wolverine also stars Emma Corrin, Owen Wilson, Matthew Macfadyen, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Rob Delaney, Jennifer Garner, and more.

At this time, Deadpool & Wolverine — the first R-rated film to ever be produced by Marvel Studios — is tracking to make a whopping $160-$165 million in its debut weekend. That would give the film the ninth-highest opening weekend in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ahead of 2019’s Captain Marvel ($153 million) but behind 2013’s Iron Man 3 ($174 million).

Deadpool & Wolverine officially releases in movie theaters in the United States on Friday, July 26, with showings beginning on the night of Thursday, July 25. You can watch the official trailer for the highly-anticipated MCU film below.
