Skip Bayless did not address his departure from Fox Sports during his final appearance on ‘Undisputed’ and the reason is pretty sad.

On Thursday, former Fox Sports host Marcellus Wiley revealed that Bayless’ last appeareance on ‘Undisputed’ would be Friday, one month after it was reported that he would be leaving FS1.

During his final appeance on ‘Undisputed’ Bayless did not address his departure from FS1 on air but did release a statement on social media.

“Today was my last show on Undisputed. I’m leaving FS1. I’ve been planning to pursue other opportunities for several months. I had a great 8-year run with a lot of great people at FOX, but now I’m excited for what’s coming up. Stay tuned.”

According to a report from Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports, Bayless didn’t address his departure from FS1 because he was not happy with being pushed out and may be blaming Fox Sports executives for Shannon Sharpe leaving.

So why didn’t Bayless address it on Friday’s show? I’m hearing the proud Bayless was so disappointed at being pushed out of the network he helped build that he passed on the chance to address his departure. Bayless may also blame FS1 executives, rather than himself, for not fixing the feud with Sharpe before it got completely out of hand, say sources.

It’ll be interesting to see where Bayless lands next considering ESPN has already come forward to say they weren’t interested in bringing him back.
