I do not condone the behavior of Samson Nacua on Saturday night. However, I cannot help but laugh at the sound of his hand when he made contact with the face of an unsuspecting UFL fan during a heated exchange after the game.
It sounded like a cartoon!
Nacua, the older brother of Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, currently plays for the Michigan Panthers of the United Football League. He played for both Utah and BYU while in college, initially as a walk-on, and spent training camp with the Indianapolis Colts in 2022.

Since then, Nacua has played three seasons in the UFL— one with the Pittsburgh Maulers, two with Michigan. This is his second year with the Panthers. He has seven catches for 116 yards and one touchdown through five games.
Although there are a few UFL organizations that draw a pretty consistent crowd, none are bigger or more passionate than that of the Battlehawks. The city is passionate for football, especially after they lost the Rams to Los Angeles.
Saturday night was a instant classic. Michigan and St. Louis traded the lead back and forth six different times at The Dome at America’s Center. The home team narrowly hung on to win the highest-scoring game in the league this season. It was a raucous environment— relatively speaking.
One specific Battlehawks fan sat right behind the opposing bench. He must’ve been ruthless throughout the game because Samson Nacua was out for blood as soon as the clock hit zero.
A cellphone video (to which I cannot find the original source) shows him walk up to the St. Louis fan after the game. They exchanged words for a moment. Nacua pointed a finger in the man’s face.
And then, out of nowhere, Nacua jumped up to slap him in the face before he then scurried away.

Listen to the sound of contact! It sounds like the slap noise was added in post production.
As of this moment, neither Michgian, nor St. Louis, nor the UFL has issued a statement about the incident. Samson Nacua has not commented.
No further context has been provided. I am not sure what the fan said. I don’t know why Nacua was so mad. All I know is that he landed all five fingers to the face.
