Philadelphia Eagles running Saquon Barkley dominated the NFL this season, while Taylor Swift continued to dominate the music industry at levels rarely seen before. And, due to Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, facing off against the Eagles and Saquon in the Super Bowl, Swift and Barkley had somewhat of a link last weekend.
Taylor Swift was booed on the jumbotron on Sunday at Super Bowl LIX, presumably by Philadelphia fans. On Wednesday, Saquon Barkley openly questioned why Taylor Swift was booed at the Super Bowl.
Barkley could’ve easily been the league’s MVP this year, and became the first player in NFL history to run for over 2,500 yards combined in the regular season and postseason. While he had a relatively quiet Super Bowl, he was dominant in the run-up to the Super Bowl, and brought home his first Super Bowl ring as Philadelphia beat Kansas City, 40-22.
When Taylor Swift was shown at the Ceasars Superdome on Sunday, she was greeted with a chorus of boos. Take a listen.

She’s become synonymous with the Chiefs, who are definitely the villains of the NFL. But, Saquon Barkley didn’t like it at all. Here’s more from ESPN.
Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley said he doesn’t understand why fans booed pop superstar Taylor Swift when she was shown on the videoboards at the Caesars Superdome during Super Bowl LIX.
“I remember that they showed her on the jumbotron, and she got booed. I don’t get it. I don’t get why she was getting hate there,” Barkley said Wednesday during an appearance on “The Howard Stern Show” on SiriusXM.
“She was there supporting her significant other, and she’s made the game bigger,” Barkley said. “In football we’re all about, ‘How can we expand the game and make it more [international]?’ We’re traveling to Brazil, we’re traveling to Mexico. Apparently, we’re traveling to Australia soon. We’re trying to expand the game, and her being a part of it is only helping it. I don’t get the dislike she’s getting.”
Saquon is right. The hate is ridiculous.
