New York Jets star cornerback Sauce Gardner is being called an “incel” after the Pro Bowl defensive back made a strange comment about insecurity and females on social media.
While watching the Monday Night Football game between the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars, Sauce Gardner tweeted a photo of a woman holding a sign that said “Josh [Allen], I just got married, but I’d leave my husband for you! P.S. He’s right here.”

In a second tweet, Gardner added his own commentary to the photo, saying “Most females these days will call you insecure if you get mad at this behavior.” Essentially, Gardner says that if the husband of this Bills fan were to get angry about his wife’s sign, “most females” would call him insecure.
Gardner’s bizarre comment responded in a fitting reaction, with many NFL fans wondering why one of the league’s elite defensive players is tweeting like an “incel.”
An incel is defined as “a member of an online community of young men who consider themselves unable to attract women sexually, typically associated with views that are hostile toward women and men who are sexually active.”

“Christ help me my CB1 is parroting incel talking points,” tweeted one Jets fan.
“Periodic reminder that using the word ‘females’ in place of ‘women’ gives off major incel vibes,” read another popular response to Sauce’s tweet.
“Brother, you are a young multimillionaire athlete. Why are you tweeting like an incel?” another NFL fan wondered.
“The best corner in the NFL is an incel,” said one fan. “That Incel Grift pays good for an athlete to be doing it,” added another.
