Seattle Seahawks linebacker Dre’Mont Jones was called out by a media member over the weekend for supposedly taking plays off in the team’s loss to the Bills.

Jones quickly clarified with a detailed evisceration of the online personality this week.

The play in question came with the Seahawks attempting to make stop in the redzone as the Buffalo offense drove towards the goal line.

As Josh Allen dropped back to pass, Jones is seen half-heartedly going through the motions in an attempt to chase down the quarterback. Allen would end up finding an open receiver on the play to connect for a 12-yard score.

Dre’Mont Jones is seen on the left side of the screen making his effort to get to the passer. At first look, it certainly appeared that he was moving at half-speed.

The linebacker clarified the situation to critics after the fact.

I hurt my left shoulder (which turned out to be an AC sprain) the play before and I kept playing because I care about this team and wanted to make an impact. Don’t ever question my work ethic when you don’t know the amount of effort I put into this violent game.

Mic dropped!

In the video, you can clearly see Jones’ left arm dangling from his shoulder. He was also unable to use it during the play while going up against an offensive lineman.

He wasn’t taking a play off. He was hurt!

Jones would later be removed from the game and was listed as questionable to return.

On the year, the defender has racked up 17 tackles, three sacks, and a safety. Hopefully, he can get back on the field soon.
