The Seattle Seahawks have signed quarterback Geno Smith to a three-year deal worth $105 million, according to reporter Jordan Schultz.
The 2022 Comeback Player of the Year and Pro-Bowl selection had a career year last season, throwing for 30 touchdown passes to just 11 interceptions and breaking the Seahawks’ single-season franchise record for passing yards with 4,282. He also completed 69.8% of his passes.
Geno Smith had previously served as Russell Wilson’s backup for several years, but after Wilson was traded to the Broncos for multiple high draft picks, Smith took over and led the Seahawks to the playoffs.
Despite being written off by many after spending several years on the bench, Smith proved his worth and secured a lucrative contract.
