Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse star Shameik Moore, who voices the title character of Miles Morales, does not appear to be happy for her co-star Hailee Steinfeld. On Friday, Steinfield, 27 years old, announced that she was getting engaged to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, 28 years old.
After the announcement, social media was filled with posts congratulating Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfield on their engagement.
The Buffalo Bills Pro Bowl QB and the Academy Award-nominated actress — Steinfeld was nominated for Best Supporting Actress when she was just 14 years old for her work in the Coen Brothers’ 2010 film True Grit — first began dating in May 2023.

Moore, who was Stenfield’s co-star in the two Into the Spider-Verse animated movies (a third is in the works), appeared to be hurt by her engagement to Allen.
There’s still more people to meet. More opportunities to come. And more chances to try. Live, learn, apply.

Fans have always mocked Moore for awkwardly hitting on Steinfield in the past.

Moore was roasted over his cringeworthy post.

After his initial tweet went viral and go largely clowned on, Moore tried to do some damage control by seemingly playing dumb and acting like he had not heard the news of Steinfeld’s engagement, which was dominating social media in the hours prior to his questionable tweet.
“Had no idea Hailee is engaged! That’s amazing, I’m here reflecting on my 2024 goals that are rolling over into 2025. Gods timing,” Moore said in a post on X, formerly Twitter, that’s since been deleted.
“Also crazy what yall decide to engage with when I post,” he added in a second tweet, which remains live at the time of this writing.
Prior to the tweet that people thought about Steinfeld’s engagement, Moore hadn’t tweeted since November 23. After the flurry of attention on social media, he shared a video of what’s presumably one of his songs, a move colloquially known as “tweeting through it.”
Moore continued to tweet through it into the night, as he posted another comment at 1:43 a.m. in the morning, hours after his attention grabbing post, saying “Yall been twisting my words and f—– wit my name for years now.”
Other than voicing Miles Morales in the widely-acclaimed and Oscar-winning Spider-Verse franchise, Moore is perhaps best known for his breakthrough role in the 2015 film Dope and portraying Wu Tang Clan rapper Raekwon in the Hulu series Wu-Tang: An American Saga .
