We’re beginning to learn more about the fallout between Shannon Sharpe and “Undisputed.”

Back in June, it was revealed that Sharpe had taken a buyout to leave ‘Undisputed’ after seven years on the show.

Initial reports claimed that Sharpe had issues with Bayless controlling every aspect of the show and wanted more freedom on the topics being debated.

In a recent interview with Joe Budden, Stephen A. Smith reveals that Sharpe didn’t want to leave ‘Undisputed’ but was “pushed out” and told his services were no longer needed.

“I’m telling you he was pushed out.. they can deny it, he wouldn’t I can promise you that. He was pushed out, he didn’t want to leave, he was notified that your services would no longer be needed but again that’s his story to tell but I’m telling you what I know, I’m giving you facts.”

Smith said he sympathized with Sharpe’s situation and that’s why he decided to sign him to ‘First Take’

Bayless has since “revamped” the show which now features Richard Sherman, Michael Irvin, and Keyshawn Johnson.
