Shaun White is no stranger to greatness. He’s conquered Olympic snowboarding with three gold medals, holds the record for the most X Games gold medals (13!!!), launched his own snowboarding brand, and even started a snow league. You get the point, he’s the G.O.A.T. of snowboarding. But last weekend in Las Vegas, he added “bartender extraordinaire” to his résumé during the Patrón Tequila G.O.A.T. Circuit at the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix. And yes, it was as wild as it sounds.

“I’m recovering from the weekend,” Shaun laughed in a Zoom interview with BroBible that will soon air on The Mostly Occasionally Show. “It was my second time at F1 in Vegas, and they’ve really dialed it in since last year. Everything was perfect. It was so much fun, dude.”

And fun might be an understatement. On Friday, November 22, Shaun hit three bars inside Wynn and Encore Las Vegas—the Encore Players Lounge, Wynn Race & Sports Book, and Overlook Lounge—armed with PATRÓN Silver, a shaker, and his trademark charm. “The GOAT Circuit was wild. They’re like, ‘Greatest of all time tequila? Let’s get Shaun in there.’ So I went bar to bar, making drinks for people. Anytime I yelled, “The tab’s on me!’ the reaction was unreal,” he said. “People went nuts.”

Of course they did. Shaun White was serving them free drinks.

The signature drink of the bar tour was Patrón’s G.O.A.T. Margarita. “We kept it simple—additive-free Patrón Silver, lime, and magic,” Shaun joked. “I practiced a little beforehand so I didn’t look like a total rookie next to the Vegas bartenders. Those guys are pros.”

“I’m a tequila guy,” Shaun also said in a statement about the event. “PATRÓN is truly the greatest of all tequila for me. We are both all about pushing boundaries and celebrating the best moments with the best quality tequila.”

While he admitted this was his first time bartending for a crowd that big, Shaun’s verdict on the experience? “It was epic. My group texts haven’t stopped blowing up. Bringing my friends and family along made it even better.”

A Big Boi hang and big vibes for race weekend

The night wasn’t just about margaritas. Shaun reunited with rapper and producer Big Boi for a private G.O.A.T.-inspired interview session that set the tone for the evening. From there, Shaun tackled the G.O.A.T. circuit through the Wynn. This is what it looked like, if you’re familiar with the Wynn and its many bars:

It was the perfect way to set the festive spirit before a big Friday night in Vegas, mixing drinks, cracking jokes, and soaking up the love from fans who greeted him with cheers and congratulations on his recent engagement to actress Nina Dobrev. “The love and support were amazing. It’s been such a fun ride,” Shaun said.

F1’s Own GOAT: Lewis Hamilton

When it comes to greatness, Shaun had plenty to say about his pick for the F1 GOAT, Lewis Hamilton. “Lewis is the man,” he said. “He’s not just a phenomenal driver; he’s brought this whole new era to F1 with his fashion, swagger, and undeniable skills.”

I add it was unreal to see him come from so far back in the pack to finish second in the Las Vegas Grand Prix behind his Mercedes teammate, George Russel.

“He’s had an interesting season full of ups and downs, and to see him fight his way to the top spot from starting in 10th position was pretty wild,” White ads.

The two even bonded over snowboarding. “Lewis loves to ride, he owns a property in Colorado. We’ve actually hit the slopes together.” Then he tells BroBible that the first time they’ve ridden together was on a glacier in Antarctica, adding that “the trip was random.”

You’ll have to hear the full story on the next episode of my Mostly Occasionally podcast, which will be featuring a recap of my trip to Las Vegas for the Formula 1 Race.
