Travis Hunter’s relationship has been a major talking point as the Heisman trophy winner eyes a professional career. Set to be married after that NFL selection, many have warned him of his fiancée’s supposed intentions with an influx of cash soon hitting his bank account.
A number of celebrities and former athletes have weighed in on the situation. Teammate Shedeur Sanders blasted those critics for their fake concern.
“All y’all athletes, entertainers, artist etc., if y’all genuine trying to holla at Trav, y’all know how to get in touch with him,” he posted on X. “At this point y’all just posting for the algorithm trying to look cool.”

Some of those commenting on the relationship include Shannon Sharpe, Nate Burleson, and Dez Bryant.
“I’ve tried my best not to get into Travis Hunter’s business,” Bryant wrote in a now-deleted social media post. “I’m here to tell you, brother… Wake up and quit playing… She loves the attention way more than you. She thinks she’s an equal to you. I can tell you’re a great dude… From what I see, she has nothing to offer but a headache.”
Travis Hunter’s fiancée, Leanna Lenee, made headlines due to a pair of incidents late in the 2024 college football season. After a 52-0 win over Oklahoma State in Hunter’s final home game, she appeared angry while speaking to him on the sidelines. A few weeks later, she looked irritated by the attention he received at the Heisman trophy ceremony.
Through it all, Hunter has defender her. He’s since logged off of social media with the drama continuing to receive negative attention.
Shedeur Sanders isn’t happy with how his teammate has been treated. He believes that if those voicing their concern for the college football star were truly worried, they would’ve reached out personally rather than blast their opinions across the internet.
