The Colorado Buffaloes polished off an improbable 9-3 regular season on Friday with a 52-0 beatdown of Big 12 foe Oklahoma State. While the Buffs are likely outside looking in at the Big 12 title game, it’s still a wildly impressive second season for Deion Sanders and company.

Star quarterback Sheduer Sanders threw for 438 yards and five touchdowns in the blowout victory, while Heisman Trophy favorite Travis Hunter caught 1- passes for 116 yards and three touchdowns. That brings Sanders’ season numbers to 3,488 yards and 30 touchdowns. Hunter finishes the regular season with 82 catches for 1,036 yards and 11 touchdowns in addition to being one of the nation’s top corners.

If Colorado doesn’t make the College Football Playoff (which is only possible with a Big 12 championship at this point), it’s hard to envision either Sanders or Hunter suiting up for the Buffaloes again. That has many fans wondering how they may look a year from now without the two superstars.

But Sanders has already taken a step toward ensuring the Buffs are just as competitive next year as they were this season.

“I’m gonna donate to the (NIL) collective for sure,” Sanders said after the Buffaloes dismantled Oklahoma State 52–0. “I’ll make sure we have a super team next year!”

Colorado already has its replacement for Sanders in the form of superstar high school quarterback Julian Lewis. Lewis recently committed to the Buffaloes after flipping from USC. The Buffs are also still in the running for five-star offensive lineman Michael Carroll, who is currently committed to Alabama. So Sanders’ donation could go a long way toward ensuring the cupboard is not barren for his father in 2025.

And given his NFL Draft stock, he likely has a nice chunk of change coming his way as well in the near future.
